Thank you to Neil for setting up our Synology NAS. We can store multiple backups of our clients' websites to ensure them that they are safe and secure. Also, I'm able to securely retrieve any files from my NAS directly from my phone. It makes it so easy and convenient in the event that I need any files on the go.

My phone was always full. Now that I have a Synology Black Box, all my photos are backed up to it and my phone is no longer running out of space. Thanks to Neil for setting this all up.

My IT was a mess and I didn't have any confidence that my files were backed up or secured. Thanks to Neil, I have a Synology Black Box, and that has sorted everything. Now, I know where my files are, they are being backed up and are secure.

Once we have discussed with you the best model and configuration for you, these are the next steps:
1. A quote will be sent to you
2. You accept the quote
3. We will place the order for the hardware
4. When the hardware arrives, we will build, test and configure the system for you
5. Once ready, we’ll organise an installation time and will let you know what computers/laptops and devices (e.g., phones/tablets) you need to have on hand to configure their automatic backups.
Once the order has been placed, we receive the hardware within 2 business days (depending on stock).
It takes us 1 business day to build, configure and test the NAS.
The installation of the NAS and configuring your devices takes about 2hrs.
No. Once you purchase a Synology NAS, you don’t have to pay any subscription or license fees.
Note that there may be one-off license fees depending on the products/options you choose. Common examples are extra camera licenses or extended warranty.
The manufacturer's warranty is 2 to 5 years, depending on the model. In saying that, my first NAS lasted 7 years before I changed; and the only reason I changed was that I needed a bigger NAS.
If you have spare drive bays available, then we can simply add extra hard drives to your NAS.
However, if all your bays are full, the drives are "hot swappable". This means that we can replace the drives while the system is running. All that is needed is to swap the smaller drives with larger ones.
All hardware can break. That's why we set it up so the entire NAS is backed up nightly to an external drive. In the event of a disaster, your NAS can be rebuilt from the external drive.
A 2 Bay NAS suits most people and is a great place to start.
If you can afford a 4 Bay NAS, here are some of the benefits:
- Easier to increase hard drive space.
- Has a better processor to index your photos and videos faster.
- Able to handle more users* accessing the NAS concurrently.
If you have 3+ users, we recommend a 4 Bay NAS.
